Signs you have a hive

  • Steady traffic in one spot

    Lots of bees flying in and out of the same gap in a wall, soffit, roof or tree.

  • Buzzing in the wall

    A hum you can hear through a wall or ceiling, often louder on warm days.

  • Bees inside the house

    Bees turning up at lights or windows indoors, often near the same room.

  • Stains or drips

    Dark stains or sticky spots on a wall or ceiling can mean comb and honey behind it.

    Bees going in and out of one opening day after day. They’ve moved in and are building comb.

  • A swarm

    A big ball of bees hanging on a branch or fence is often a swarm resting while it looks for a new home. Keep your distance, and text us if it stays put or starts moving into the house.

Can I remove a bee hive myself?

Please don’t. Disturbing a hive can set off a lot of stings. If someone is stung and has trouble breathing, call 911.

How much does bee removal cost?

It depends on where the hive is and how big it is, so we price it after we take a look.

Why do bees come back to the same spot?

The scent of an old hive, and any comb left behind, can draw a new swarm to the same opening. Ask us what happens to the comb and the opening when we remove your hive.

Do you remove wasp nests?
